The HubSpot Deals feature includes a custom post type that is boosted with ACF fields such as Year Built, Occupancy %, Unit Count and Address. On a regular basis, a cron task in WordPress fetches deal data from HubSpot and relates it to the correct WordPress posts. Once logged in, brokers can see deal pages with repeater fields for details of each unit. Multiple transactions can be saved as XML, PDFs or a complete Excel spreadsheet that includes information about each unit’s mix, monthly rent, cost per square foot and other related costs and charges. Every aspect of the front end and the printable PDF is customisable for a well-finisher presentation.

CHALLENGES

Using repeaters and conditional sections to map intricate HubSpot data to ACF structures.⁣ 
Ensuring precise formatting and layout for all dynamic PDF export templates.

APPROACHES

Researched the structure of the HubSpot API and developed a mapping engine to match it with unique ACF fields. Developed multiple PDF layout prototypes to confirm every field was in the proper position and worked on all browsers. wrote sharing functions that I could reuse and ran automated synchronisation jobs with cron tasks.
